In January 2024, the Bukovina Center for Reconstruction and Development, in collaboration with Resource Studio (Kyiv) and the Kharkiv Regional Youth Public Organization “Educated Initiative,” held the International Winter School “Youth Communication and Skills for the Future.”


The International Winter School was co-organized by the Union of Ukrainians in Moldova “Zapovit-Mostenire” (Bălți, Republic of Moldova), the public association “My Opportunity – Posibilitatea mea” (Bălți, Republic of Moldova), the Chernivtsi Regional Public Organization “Institute of Bessarabia” (Chernivtsi).


Partners of the International Winter School included Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, the Chernivtsi Regional Council, the Chernivtsi District Council, the Department of Socio-Economic Development and Strategic Planning of the Chernivtsi City Council, the Bukovina Media Center “Belle Vue,” the Center for Ukrainian Language and Culture at Alecu Russo State University in Bălți (Republic of Moldova), and the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Translation at the Faculty of History, Political Science, and International Relations of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, as well as from higher education institutions in Kyiv and the Republic of Moldova, had the opportunity to learn about grant programs currently available to Ukrainian civil society organizations and acquired skills in developing project ideas, preparing project proposals, communicating with grant providers, and more.


The training sessions for students were conducted by the director of the Kharkiv Regional Youth Civil Society Organization “Educated Initiative,” youth career development coach Anna GARUS, Vitaliy KULYK, director of the Center for Civil Society Studies and a political scientist; and Yevgen TATARINOV, an expert in the psychology of performance under special conditions, psychodiagnostics, vocational-psychological screening, career psychology, and an NLP expert.


In addition, participants in the international school had the opportunity to interact with representatives of local government bodies in the Chernivtsi region and the city of Chernivtsi, visited the Chernivtsi Regional Volodymyr Ivasyuk Memorial Museum, as well as the central building of our university—the former Residence of the Metropolitans of Bukovina and Dalmatia.


Graduates of the International Winter School were awarded certificates.
