Representatives of the Bukovina Center for Reconstruction and Development, as one of the partners in the project “Improvement of Transportation Infrastructure in the Chernivtsi–Suceava (Shepit–Izvorarele Sucevei) Border Areas” (project code 1HARD/3. 1/27), funded under the Joint Operational Program for Cross-Border Cooperation of the European Neighborhood Instrument “Romania–Ukraine 2014–2020,” consisting of Yaroslav KYRPUSHKO (project manager) and Igor KUZMUK (project technical expert). During their second visit to the village of Shepit, they held consultations with Valeriy POLYANCHUK, head of the Selyatyn United Territorial Community, representatives of local businesses, and residents of Shepit regarding the prospects for developing and promoting the project. They also began preliminary data collection to develop a joint strategy for environmentally sustainable transportation development in the cross-border region, which will serve as the project’s main analytical output and will be developed, presented, and signed at the end of the project’s implementation. This strategy will include a set of priorities and requirements for future interventions in the development of transportation infrastructure. Therefore, it was very important for us to hear the opinions of both government officials and, especially, ordinary community residents, since they are the primary beneficiaries of the project.
